What we are doing to get started

World Speed Motorsports (www.worldspeed.com) the race team that funded the development of this website has started making progress in their goal to be better stewards of the environment. Here is what they are doing:

Now:

• Bio Circle parts washer (eco-friendly non-solvent)
• Properly recycle all batteries, from stop watch and AAA to car batteries
• Run shop lights at 60% of capacity whenever possible
• Use fans instead of AC whenever possible
• Maximize rags and dispose of properly
• Use Molecule cleaners instead of dry cleaning
• Properly recycle/handle all waste fluids (at track make sure to have waste containers incase the track doesn’t have a disposal facility)
• Compostible disposable plates, cups, cutlery for at track and office use
• Running E85 in our championship level cars
• Getting certified as a 'green business' in California

Future:

• Seeking to install solar power for shop
• Exploring solar for trailer instead of Generator
• Use of electric scooters and bicycles instead of 2 stoke scooters
• Use of electric pit carts
• Use of biodiesel in the semi truck whenever possible
• Consider alternative fuels for racecars
• Use fewer race tires
• Try to use more efficient team vehicles
• Give incentives for employees to drive more fuel efficient cars
• Stay at Environmentally friendly hotels
