Seems hypocritical to me!

How could a racing team be environmentally conscious? It just doesn't seem to make any sense.

We all are interested in a better work environment aren’t we? Historically racing has been at least as hard on its participants as it has on the environment and with new technologies this doesn't have to be the case anymore.

Can today's racecars be green?

Some already are. The use of alternative fuels in many series has become a very popular way for car manufacturers to prove that lower emissions doesn’t have to mean lower performance. The winner of the 2007 24 Hours of LeMans, and the 2007 Indy 500 Champ are currently using alternative fuel and many more teams and series are getting on board.

How can my racing team make a difference ?

We aren't going to be completely green, and race zero emmisions cars overnight. What we need to do is get started moving into a more envornmentally friendly direction. With many new interesting green technologies there are ways we can improve our programs starting this week!

Beware of Astroturf:

It looks green but upon closer inspection its petroleum roots are exposed.  Going green is almost cliché these days.  Some people are making very impressive strides and accomplishments to improve all of our lives and reduce their impact on the planet.  Others are trying to look like they are making positive changes and improve their bottom line.  Our goal is the first scenario but some information on this website, such as claims by car companies, should be taken at face value.  We are not scientists and are not able to definitively pass judgment on all things but hope that the information accumulated here will have a positive affect.  If you have additional insight into ways to be green or things that are astroturf please send it to us via our contact page.
